How achieve a FIDE rating
To achieve a FIDE rating, you need to play in an official FIDE rated event, and play at least 9 games with opponents with an official FIDE rating. The performance in these games, must be at least 1600 since that’s what the lowest possible FIDE rating is. If you play in a 9 rounds tournament and all your opponents have an official FIDE rating, and if you at the same time score a performance of above 1600, one “FIDE norm” is enough to receive a rating at the next list. If not 9 rated opponents, you need two norms, and at least 3 games with FIDE rated opponents, and a performance above 1600. Still you will have to play a total of 9 games to get the official FIDE rating.

Encyclopaedia of Chess Openings
If u playing chess for a long time, u should know ECO or Encyclopaedia of Chess Openings. I only know it yesterday. Hehehehe. Thanks Aamaludin for helping me. So what is ECO?. From wikipedia i found that:
ECO is a classification system for the opening moves in a game of chess. It is presented as a five volume book collection (now also a computer database) describing chess openings. The moves were taken from hundreds of thousands of games between masters, from published analysis in the Chess Informant since 1966, and then compiled by notable chess players. Both the ECO and the Chess Informant are published by the Serbian company Šahovski informator. These openings are typically provided in an ECO table that concisely presents the best opening lines.
Instead of the traditional names for the openings, ECO has developed a unique coding system that has also been adopted by other chess publications. There are five main categories, "A" to "E", each of which is divided into one hundred sub-categories. -wikipedia
Volume A: English, Benoni, Dutch, Réti, Benko Gambit, Old Indian, Bird, etc
Volume B: Sicilian, Caro-Kann, Pirc, Alekhine, Scandinavian, etc
Volume C: Ruy Lopez, French, Petroff, King's Gambit, Philidor, Italian (Giuoco Piano and Two Knights Defense), Scotch Game, etc
Volume D: Queen's Gambit (Slav, Accepted, Orthodox, Tarrasch, Tartakower, etc), Grünfeld Defense, Queens Pawn, etc
Volume E: Nimzo-Indian, Queen's Indian, King's Indian, Catalan, Bogo-Indian, etc
See list of chess openings for full details.
